Use a subdomain for your short links

If you have a domain name with a registrar like GoDaddy or Gandi.net that doesn't allow full editing control over your CNAME records, then you can use a subdomain to shorten your links.

Instead of your short links looking like https://mybrand.com it will look like https://something.mybrand.com.

For this example we'll use the subdomain 'link'. The subdomain can be anything you want. Some good alternatives are:

  1. link.mybrand.com
  2. go.mybrand.com
  3. learn.mybrand.com
  4. click.mybrand.com
  5. yes.mybrand.com

Creating a subdomain

In your DNS panel you will only need one CNAME record for this which will look like this:

Instead of 'link' add in whatever you want and make sure to add 'link.mybrand.com' to the Poplink 'Domains' panel.
